At the Rotary Club of Peoria-North, we are committed to fostering the academic and leadership excellence of young individuals in our community. Guided by our principle of "service above self," we proudly support aspiring leaders and scholars through the Peoria-North Foundation by offering several prestigious scholarships and awards annually.

Our Scholarships and Awards

• Ralph H. Kress Scholarship: In memory of devoted club member Ralph H. Kress, this $2,500 scholarship supports a Peoria County student pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree. This initiative is generously funded by the Kress Corporation and honors Ralph’s legacy of commitment from his induction on July 17, 1969, until his passing on June 28, 1995.

• Interact Scholarship: These scholarships are awarded based on leadership, community service, academic performance, and personal references, with a strong emphasis on leadership and service contributions.

• Rotaract Scholarship: Similar to the Interact Scholarships, these are awarded to students who demonstrate significant leadership and community service, alongside solid academic achievements and strong references.

• Prescott Bloom Service Above Self Awards: Named in honor of late club member and Illinois State Senator Prescott E. Bloom, these awards recognize students who exemplify outstanding leadership and volunteerism in their schools and communities.

• Sterling Merit Awards: Annually, we celebrate high school seniors from the region who are in the top eight percent of their class. This event is collaboratively planned and sponsored by the Rotary Club of Peoria-North and other local Rotary clubs.

Peace Fellowships

Rotary International, in partnership with local clubs like the Rotary Club of Peoria North, leads a robust, worldwide program to train new leaders passionate about promoting peace. College graduates and professionals who share this mission should consider applying for a graduate-level fellowship to study at one of the Rotary Peace Centers around the world. Learn more
